21st Annual Conference on Crime Victims
Victims: The Real Story
The Department of Public Safety Office of Justice Programs is pleased to sponsor the 21st Annual Conference on Crime Victims: Victims: The Real Story. This year’s conference will be held May 28- May 30, 2008, at Cragun’s Conference Center in Brainerd, Minnesota.
The
goal of the Annual Conference on Crime Victims is to provide education and training on issues related to crime and victimization. It is a multidisciplinary event that brings professionals together to improve skills, share information, network, and learn how to help their
communities.
The 2008 Dr. William Kosiak Memorial Award and the Distinguished Service Award will be presented at the conference. The Kosiak Memorial Award recognizes exceptional service to crime victims by a volunteer, while the Distinguished Service Award acknowledges outstanding service to crime victims by a paid professional.
OJP provides scholarship opportunities for eligible participants to attend the conference. Scholarship categories include individual victim service provider, criminal justice team, student, and immigrant professionals.
