Position Title: Public Policy Specialist
Organization: National Network to End Domestic Violence
The National Network to End Domestic Violence is seeking a Public Policy Specialist to assist the Public Policy Director in implementing NNEDV's policy initiatives and advocacy activities impacting domestic violence victims. The Public Policy Specialist will assist with outreach to Congress and federal officials as well as occrdinate grassroots mobilization activities engaging NNEDV membership and the field. The Public Policy Specialist will liaise with national violence against women coalitions and organizations. In addition, the Public Policy Specialist will work cross functionally with NNEDV departments to ensure the coordination and integration of public policy initiatives throughout the organization. The Public Policy Specialist will be responsible for managing interns.
The ideal candidate must posses the following:
- Two years related experience in Legislative/Government Relations.

Position Title: Youth Coordinator
Organization: The National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum (NAPAWF)
The National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum is the nation's only progressive, mutli-issue organization dedicated to social justice and human rights for Asian and Pacific Islander women and girls. With national staff in three offices and volunteer-led chapters in eleven cities, NAPAWF is building a movement of social change. NAPAWF's St. Cloud chapter seeks to continue its work with API young women in 2010 and seeks a dynamic person to lead our youth development efforts.
Position Summary: The Teen Coordinator will work with a core group of NAPAWF - St. Cloud leaders to implement an API young women's peer leadership program that will culminate in a teen retreat in the Fall of 2010. This position is a part-time stipended position. Specifically, the Teen Coordinator will have the following duties:
Develop and implement a peer leadership program for API young women in St. Cloud, MN including recruitment of participants, training, and support of leaders.
With the peer leaders, develop a weekend teen retreat to address the issues of sexism, racism, isolation, leadership development, and self-esteem for API young women from St. Cloud and/or the Twin Cities area.
Collaborate with NAPAWF staff and St. Cloud chapter leaders on all aspects of this work.
Participate in monthly check-ins with NAPAWF staff and provid regular updates and evaluations of the program.
Qualifications:
- BA preferred. Must have some experience working with young people in leadership development, and group building. Some familiarity with youth developmnet preferred.
- Be highly responsible with a strong work ethic and responsive to deadlines. Have excellent organizational and communication akills, be able to work independently, and on a team.

Position Title: Project Coordinator
Organization: American Indian Community Housing Organization
The American Indian Community Housing Organization (AICHO) has an opening for a full-time Project Coordinator. AICHO's vision is to strengthen our communities by centering indigenous values in all aspects of our work. Currently, AICHO provides domestic violence shelter, transitional housing, advocacy, homeless outreach assistance, and cultural programming.
This supervisory position is responsible for the overall administration of 2 housing programs serving Native American families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness (including long-term and generational situations) into permanent housing. The Coordinator will also facilitate weekly team meetings and serve as the liasion for the Gilwe ("he or she goes home") collaboration. The position has excellent benefits, flexible scheduling, and reports to the Executive Director.
Qualifications include a demonstrated knowledge of homelessness, violence against women, and generational poverty issues. Experience working with Native American families is required, as is the ability to work independently, and within a team setting. Candidates should have a minimum of two years supervisory experience and a Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or related field (Master's preferred). Grant writing and compliance experience and knowledge of HMIS is a plus.

The DC Coalition Against Domestic Violence (DCCADV), a tax exempt, non-profit organization is accepting applications for the position of Executive Director. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and is a full time exempt staff position.

DCCADV is the District of Columbia's equivalent of a "statewide" coalition supporting anti-domestic violence initiatives and organizations serving victims and survivors of domestic violence. Position Summary:

Position Title: Women's Counselor and Data Reporting Lead
Organization: Tubman
This position provides direct advocacy services to women and children living in our shelter. Core responsibilities include: goal and safety planning support, case management, support group facilitation and data collection. Program services include providing emotional support, connecting residents to resources, crisis phone services, working with community service providers and active participation in team and case review meetings. The data reporting component works directly to compile data for program and agency reports, data entry training for new counselors and interns, and supports program reporting for our residential programs.

Position Title: Project Director

Tubman is seeking a full time director for a collaborative project with the Brain Injury Association of Minnesota to guide organizational change at both agencies and assist in the development of a national model to serve victims of family violence with brain injury.
Duties:

Position Title: Western Suburban Direct Service Advocate

- Must have valid drivers license, own transportation and car insurance coverage.

Safe Dates Coordinator/Teen Advocate: Provides direct support to area teens through personal advocacy, prevention education, group support and team building. The National Network to End Domestic Violence Fund is seeking a State Coalition and Transitional Housing Team Assistant. This is a full-time exempt position that reports to the Program Director at NNEDV. This position will be located in their office near Dupont Circle in Washington, DC.
The State Coalition and Transitional Housing Assistant is responsible for supporting the program in building the capacity of state domestic violence coalitions and transitional housing programs by responding to requests for information and assistance.
Responsibilities:
- Tracking technical assistance requests and writing memos or providing briefings for Program Director and Specialists.
- Creating materials.
- Organizing events.
- Helping to plan and carry out meetings, conferences and trainings.
- Additionally, the State Coalition and Transitional Housing Team Assistant will handle all administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, maintaining programmatic contacts, completing expense reports and other internal documentation for the State Coalition and Transitional Housing Programs.
Skills/Experience:
- Significant experience with adminstrative tasks.
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office products and Adobe.
- Strong communication skills - both oral and written.
- Experience with scheduling and event planning.
- An interest in grassroots organizing, and coalition building.
- Knowledge of domestic violence issues is desirable.

Position Title: State Coalition Technial Assistance Specialist

The National Network to End Domestic Violence Fund is seeking a State Coalition Technical Assistance Specialist at their Washington, DC office.
The Coalition Technial Assistance Specialist is responsible for providing intensive technical assistance to state domestic violence and dual coalitions.
Responsibilities:
- Providing onsite and distance technical assistance to state coalitions on a variety of internal and external issues including management challenges, strengthening statewide responses, enhancing member relations, board development and strategic planning.
- Assist with resource develoment, facilitating and developing curricula for national trainings, regional meetings, topical meetings and peer to peer networking.
- Improving effectiveness of program administration through continuous review, development of policies, and application of technologies.
Skills/Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in state coalition management including board and membership development and staff supervision.
- Experience developing and maintaining relationships with key constituencies including membership, funding sources and program partners.
- Improving effectiveness of program administration through continous review, development of policies, and application of technologies.
- Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize when under deadline.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and cross-cultural understanding.
- Intermedicate skills using Microsoft Programs.
- Previous history of working in an environment.
- Prefer experience working with federal and state grants.
