October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  Each year, MCBW provides member programs with a packet of resources to assist in planning for Domestic Violence Awareness Month activities.  The packet typically includes a preliminary draft of that year's Femicide Report, sample letters to the editor, a press release, the Governor's proclamation, sample public service announcements, and other materials.

MCBW also collects information from its member programs and others who are carrying out Awareness Month activities for inclusion on the website calendar.
