Stalking in the 21st CenturyDate Time: 10/01/2009 Training Specific for Law Enforcement and Prosecutors. Limited space available for advocates. This is a free one day training that is being repeated at the following locations: September 29, 2009, Northland Inn, Brooklyn Park, MN September 30, 2009, Sawmill Inn, Grand Rapids, MN October 1, 2009, Best Western, Mankato, MN Training will be held from 9:00-4:00pm at all locations. 1st Annual Peace Walk "Peace begins at home"Date Time: 10/01/2009 Committee Against Domestic Abuse 1st Annual Peace Walk "Peace begins at home". Thursday, October 1st 11am-6:30pm at Ray Erlandson Park in Mankato (At the corner of Main St. & Victory Drive). Join CADA as they kick off domestic violence awareness month by dedicating this day to the victims/survivors of domestic violence. Pop, chips and a soda will be available at a small fee. The clothesline project will be available for viewing and speakers are scheduled throughout the lunch hour as well. Key 1
Sheila Wellstone Annual Event Celebrating 15 years of VAWA!Date Time: 10/01/2009 Every year, the Sheila Wellstone Institute continues Sheila's tradition of an event in the US Capitol that draws national attention to the issue of domestic and sexual violence. This year, they are celebrating the 15th anniversary of the landmark Violence Against Women Act and kicking off activities commemorating Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October. Key 1

Walk-a-Mile in Her ShoesDate Time: 10/01/2009 Someplace Safe brings you A Walk beginning in the Fergus Falls, MN Pamida parking lot that encourages men to unite to raise awareness and money to help end violence against women.
